Since its inception in April, 2001, the Global Research Management Network has grown to include around 400 members in more than 40 countries around the world.
Members include professionals in higher education, independent research, research sponsorship and policy making. All are engaged in efforts to ensure that research is managed in a way to maximize its effect on research institutions.
The goal of Global Research Management Network is to develop a global community that benefits those from industrial and developing countries alike.
With Network resources and training, members aim to expand the use of best practices in research management.

INORMS 2010
The third congress of the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS) was held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 11-15 April 2010. The theme of the conference was ‘Managing Research for Impact: New approaches to Research and Innovation Management’.

INORMS 2010 was hosted by the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities
